MANILA, Philippines — As we celebrate the National Women’s Month, we interviewed three powerful women from different walks of life to talk about their lives, women’s issues, and our country’s situation.

Alma Gaviola, a 47-year-old dorm staff of one of the dormitories inside UP Diliman, talked to RealTalk Factchecker about how her role as a secondary mother figure to some university students living in the dorm she works for.

Gaviola also shared her insights about the struggles of women especially when it comes to the daily challenge of balancing one’s day job and responsibilities at home.

She also urged the government to provide better job opportunities and better wages for women, and ultimately, end contractualization for both women and men. – RealTalk Factchecker, March 31, 2017
