MANILA, Philippines — As we celebrate the National Women’s Month, we interviewed three powerful women from different walks of life to talk about their lives, women’s issues, and our country’s situation.

RealTalk Factchecker interviewed Dr. Nancy Kimuell-Gabriel, a professor of Philippine Studies and coordinator of the University of the Philippines – Diliman Gender Office. We asked her about the current problems of the women’s sector and how President Rodrigo R. Duterte can act to improve women’s lives across the country.

Dr. Kimuell-Gabriel urged everyone to go beyond using the term “celebrate” when talking about National Women’s Month; we should also use the terms “defend”, “further”, and “promote”. Know the reasons by watching this short video feature. – RealTalk, February 18, 2017
